Future Electronics and NXP Present a FREE Hands-On Workshop on i.MX IoT Ready, Android Things

Future Electronics in conjunction with NXP will be launching an i.MX IoT Ready, Android Things seminar in July 2017! This event will offer our customer engineers the opportunity to get hands on training as it relates to enabling a smart IoT network.

Hands-On Training
As part of your registration, you will receive training directly from a technology expert. The platform that you will be working on has been tested and approved by Google. Space is limited and will be on a first come first serve basis. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

Target Audience
HW and SW engineers working on IoT applications that want to gain expertise enabling smart IoT networks.

You will Learn
  • About Google’s Android Things platform, NXP i.MX multimedia processors, and Technexion’s PICO modules and carrier boards
  • How to install and confi gure Android Things onto an i.MX7 Multimedia Processor from NXP
  • How to communicate with low level sensor hardware and read data
  • How to Enable Cloud connectivity on Android Things platform and publish information to the web

Computer Requirements:
- It is recommended that you bring a Windows laptop, although a Linux or MacOS will also work with some modifications to the instructions.
- Android Studio will run better on newer hardware. It is recommended that you use a laptop that is no older than 4 years old.
- A minimum of 4GB RAM (8GB is preferred) and a minimum of 4GB of available disk space.

Advanced preparation is not mandatory as the software will be made available on USB drives; however, if you wish to install Android Studio in advance here is the link:https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html.
