Exar offers a broad array of power management integrated circuits (
ICs) that are used in a wide variety of end applications.
Exar’s state of the art solutions provide high efficiency, low quiescent current, small size and the industry’s best price/performance ratio.
Many of Exar’s most advanced power management ICs are offered in thermally enhanced, lead-free DFN or QFN packages for the best blend of low thermal impedance and minimal circuit board area.
Exar power management products can be used as stand alone solutions but are designed to be used together to create a complete power management system. This product group includes low drop out linear regulators (LDOs), DC to DC switching regulators, PWM controllers, charge pumps, and microprocessor supervisors.
The SP6685 is a current-regulated charge pump ideal for powering high brightness LEDs for camera flash applications. The charge pump can be set to regulate two current levels for FLASH and TORCH modes.
The SP6685 automatically switches modes between step-up and step-down ensuring that LED current does not depend on the forward voltage. A low current sense reference voltage (50mV) allows the use of small 0603 current sensing resistors.
The SP6685 is offered in the 10-pin DFN package.
