The Explorer 16 Starter Kit is a complete set of tools for application development using Microchip’s PIC24F, PIC24H, and dsPIC33 16-bit microcontrollers.
The kit includes MPLAB® ICD 2 In Circuit Debugger, Explorer 16 Development Board, 9V universal power supply that can be used for either the Explorer 16 Development Board or the MPLAB ICD 2 in-circuit debugger, serial cable, and both PIC24FJ128GA010 and dsPIC33F256GP710 devices mounted on plug-in modules for quick replacement.
Also included with the kit is Microchip’s MPLAB Integrated Development Environment (IDE), the Student Edition of the MPLAB C30 C Compiler for Microchip’s 16-bit devices, with tutorials and user manuals on CDROM. The complete kit introduces the developer to Microchip's new family of 16-bit microcontrollers with all the tools for writing code in C, hardware debugging the application and programming devices.
