B78476A8248A3 is a surface mount ferrite toroid, case and potting. This single port extended temperature POE is a 10/100 Base-T magnetics module.
It is compliant with IEEE 802.3af, which describes transmission of power via the Ethernet port. This technology is necessary to implement applications like VoIP where the phone is powered via the Ethernet connection.
