The SMG060 is a micro-machined
gyroscope for detection of angular rates for a wide range of applications, but particularly those employing car safety applications such as roll-over control units.
The SMG060 bases upon a two-chip arrangement: the sensing element and a separate evaluation ASIC. The sensing element is an oscillating polysilicon mass sealed under vacuum on wafer level with the sensitive axis lying in the chip plane. Key features of the SMG060 series are digital output & digital interface for programming; full scale measurement range; fast on-chip offset cancellation during power-on stage; continuous on-chip self-diagnoses and on-chip digital LP filtering.
The SMG060D is a ± 240°/s, Digital Gyroscope with 5.0 V Supply & SPI Interface. SMG060D is temperature compensated from -40° to 105°C; Leaded (contains lead in its plating (SnPB) and is available in a Surface Mount PLCC44 package.
The SMG060F is a ± 240°/s, Digital Gyroscope with 5.0 V Supply, 15mA Supply Current. Supply & SPI Interface. SMG060D is temperature compensated from -40° to 105°C; Lead Free (contains Matte-Tin-Plating (pure Sn)) and is available in a Surface Mount PLCC44 package.
