A light engine is considered the "Light Source" of a solid state lighting fixture.

Our Light Engines include:

- PCB board (available in various Forms)
- LUXEON high power LEDs (available in various configurations)
- Connector (to allow the connection of multiple light engines)
- Optics (dependant on your selection)
 
The Light Engine is only part of the overall solution. In most situatons the light engine still needs to be placed into a protective enclosure or housing which may also act as the heat sinking solution required in order to manage the thermals appropriately. 

You also need to consider:

- A suitable LED Driver or Power Module to power your application
- Cable assemblies are CRITICAL and unique to our Light Engines

Ensure you've selected the proper cable assembly to connect an LED Driver to the LED board and for connecting multiple light engines together.
