The Simtek AutoStore nvSRAM family consists of fast static RAMs with non-volatile Quantum Trap storage element included with each memory cell. The SRAM provides the fast access & cycle times, ease of use and unlimited read & write endurance of a normal SRAM.
Data transfers automatically to the non-volatile storage cells when power loss is detected (the STORE operation). On power up, data is automatically restored to the SRAM (the RECALL operation). Both STORE and RECALL operations are also available under software control.
Every one of these devices uses an external VCAP capacitor for its short term energy source for non-volatile storage cycles.

The STK14CA8-RF45 is an Autostore nvSRAM with a density of 1 Meg organized as a 128K x 8. The device has a single 3 Volt Power Supply, a speed of 45 nanoseconds, comes in a 48-pin 300 mil Lead Free Plastic SSOP package and it has Commercial Temperature specifications.
The device has unlimited read/write endurance, automatic non-volatile store on power loss, non-volatile store under hardware or software control and automatic recall to SRAM on power up. The device has unlimited recall cycles, 200K STORE endurance and 20-year non-volatile data retention.
