Integrated system peripherals like Serial-ATA, USB, PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet and system cost saving boot options like SD/MMC help reduce overall BOM costs and save design time by eliminating the need for external device controllers. This is especially important in applications where rich peripherals and interconnects are required. Eight lanes of PCI Express® provide high speed connectivity, allowing designers to connect more value-add peripherals into their solutions.
