Lazina visited Ezurio\u2019s booth where she introduced the company\u2019s new System-on-Module (SoM), the Summit SOM 8M Plus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futureelectronics.com\/resources\/featured-products\/laird-connectivity-summit-som-8m-plus-iot-system-on-module\">Summit SOM 8M Plus<\/a> is Ezurio\u2019s high-performance, secure, and robust IoT (Internet of Things) System-on-Module, offering full SoM solutions for industrial, medical, and commercial applications. This device is Ezurio\u2019s next push after the prior 60 SoM series. The latest version is powered by NXP\u2019s:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>i.MX 8M Plus processor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>88W8997 Bluetooth 5.3 + WiFi 5 solution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PMICs (PCA9450CHN and PM823UK)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance LPDDR4 RAM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>eMMC 5.1 storage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<iframe width=\"auto\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LoNWhry7gVY\" title=\"Designing an Embedded Solution for Production\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This updated version is ready to do machine learning in addition to having graphics, vision, and audio applications on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the booth, we are presented with the development board exposing all the interfaces, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 ethernet interfaces, 1 with Power over Ethernet (PoE)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HDMI interface for screen application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SD card interface<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Antenna for Wi-Fi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Various interfaces for additional displays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>USB interfaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cellular modem, LTE modem<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) modem<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The SoM 8M Plus offers a wide range of possibilities for users, however, the Ezurio team gives particular examples of applications such as patient monitors, infusion pumps, AGVs, and factory automation applications.
