Welcome back to <em>Techventures with Lazina<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Part 1, we assembled a robot evaluation kit (list on screen STEVAL-ROBKIT1) from STMicroelectronics, it is complete with motors, sensors and a camera module!<br>And now it\u2019s time for the fun part: the demo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s power it up, pair it with the app, and see what this little robot can do!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First things first, grab your phone and open the STEVAL ROBOT companion app. It is available for download on the Google Play store and Apple App store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure your Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your mobile device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, turn on the switch on your robot!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the app launches, tap \u201cPair Your Robot.\u201d<br>You\u2019ll see a list of available devices, select your robot and hit \u201cPair\u201d to connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once connected, you\u2019ll get a confirmation pop-up. From here, you can choose where to go next, either the remote-control screen or the home screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"128\" height=\"271\" src=\"https:\/\/www.futureelectronics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Picture1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6183\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From the home page you can see the following menu options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Home: Displays the connection status and basic robot info<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Controller: This is your manual control panel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor: Visualizes real-time sensor data in interactive charts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Debug: Gives you access to the debug console for advanced commands<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s dive into the Controller tab and take this robot for a spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the left, we\u2019ve got the throttle joystick, use this to move the robot forward or backward, and control speed.<br>On the right, we\u2019ve got the direction joystick, which lets you steer the robot by changing its angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the bottom, you\u2019ll see the mode selection buttons. This let you switch between the two different drive modes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Autopilot<strong>:<\/strong> The robot follows a pre-programmed movement pattern<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive Mode<strong>:<\/strong> You take full control using the joysticks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pretty cool, right?
