Renesas Electronics has announced an innovative new family of bi-directional four-switch synchronous buck-boost controllers.
The ISL81601 and ISL81401 are bi-directional buck-boost power controllers. They accept an input from a battery power supply. A battery’s voltage declines as the battery loses charge, so a buck-boost controller can maintain a steady output voltage above or below the input from the battery
These buck-boost controllers are for use in systems running from large battery power supplies, such as battery back-up systems for industrial equipment or automotive products
