Stable, Low-Jitter Oscillators Offer Flexible Supply-Voltage Options
The MultiVolt™ series of oscillators from ECS Inc operate over a battery voltage range or at a fixed supply voltage, giving designers the flexibility to support multiple platforms or end product designs with a broad offering of timing devices.
ECS supplies various categories of MultiVolt oscillators:
- The regular series, with ‘MV’ part numbering, are specified with frequency stability of ±20ppm
- The tight-stability oscillators, with ‘SMV’ part numbers, feature frequency stability of as little as ±5ppm
In the MultiVolt family, ECS also supplies temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) which offer tighter stability of ±2.5ppm for HCMOS outputs, and ±0.5ppm for clipped sine-wave outputs. MultiVolt parts with ‘MVQ’ part numbers are AEC-Q200 qualified for use in automotive applications.
All MultiVolt series oscillators can operate across a supply-voltage range compatible with a battery power supply, or at a fixed supply voltage of 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.0V, or 3.3V.
MultiVolt oscillators offer precision performance, producing less than 1ps of phase jitter. They also have lower power consumption and overall better performance than MEMS oscillators at a lower cost point. They are supplied in industry-standard packages and pinouts.
