Littelfuse Xtreme Varistor Series

Radial leaded varistors handle high surge currents up to 15 kA

Littelfuse supplies the Xtreme Varistor series for applications which require the ability to absorb high surge currents and to withstand multiple surge pulses.

The radial leaded Xtreme varistors are available in six disc diameters: 5 mm, 7 mm, 10 mm, 11 mm, 14 mm, and 20 mm. The maximum continuous operating-voltage ratings of the devices range from: 130 V to 680 V ac, and from 170 V to 895 V dc. The maximum peak pulse current ranges from 1.2 kA to 15 kA.

The high surge capability and small dimensions of the Xtreme varistors enable OEMs to increase the reliability and extend the lifespan of electronic products while saving board space. The varistors are ideal for applications which are exposed to high operating temperatures.

Compliant with global safety standards, the Xtreme varistors are suitable for environments requiring a UL94V-0 flammability rating.
