Kingston — eMMC Memory

Kingston supplies a family of embedded multimedia card (eMMC) Flash memory devices, providing a high-capacity data storage option that is easy to integrate into the host application.

The Kingston eMMC non-volatile memory products are comprised of NAND Flash memory and a Flash controller. The controller implements error correction, wear leveling, performance optimization and read sensing, freeing the host processor of the need to perform low-level Flash memory management.

Kingston also handles invisibly the migration from one generation of NAND Flash technology to another, so that device OEMs only have to implement the interface design and qualification process for any part number once. This results in a shorter time to market, and enables OEMs to benefit from the cost, capacity and performance improvements made by NAND Flash manufacturers over time.

Kingston eMMC products are suitable for a wide range of applications thanks to the low power consumption and compliance with standard JEDEC specifications. For space-constrained applications, Kingston offers the world’s smallest eMMC package with a standard JEDEC footprint.

For industrial applications, the Kingston I-Temp eMMC products offer the features of the JEDEC eMMC5.1 specification,and an extended operating-temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
