Compact LED in white and colors for use in color-tuning applications

ams OSRAM has expanded its OSLON Pure® family with a new range of LEDs with a standard 1414 package footprint. Providing a bright output, the LEDs can be tightly clustered in space-constrained lighting units.

ams OSRAM has launched the OSLON Pure® 1414, a family of compact LEDs which offers a broad range of colors, long life, and high lumen density.

With a footprint of just 1.4 mm x 1.4 mm, the OSLON Pure 1414 LEDs can be tightly clustered to give a bright light output with strong ‘punch’, even in the smallest luminaires. Excellent thermal management and high efficiency ease system integration into high-power fixtures.

The choice of colors, both saturated and phosphor-converted, makes the OSLON Pure 1414 LEDs ideal for use in color-tuning applications.

The new OSLON Pure 1414 family is available in two series:

  • OSLON PURE 1414 White in CCT values ranging from 1,800 K to 6,500 K. CRI options are 70, 80, and 90. Tight color binning to within 3 SDCM
  • OSLON PURE 1414 Colors, at wavelengths from 630 nm to 455 nm

The OSLON Pure products are Lambertian emitters which are supplied in a true chip-scale housing with no bond wires. This means that multiple LEDs can be mounted side-by-side without free space between, to create dense clusters producing a very high light output from a small area. These clusters can be paired with a wide range of off-the-shelf total internal reflection (TIR) lenses available today to achieve beam angles of less than 10°.

Seamless and flexible installation on the board enables the easy replacement of individual chips.
