The Hirose LF series are small, bayonet-locking circular connectors designed for use as cable-mount plugs, jacks, and panel-mount receptacles for in-line connections. The connectors feature waterproof gaskets placed at each joint to enable up to IPX8 water resistance. This permits use in environments such as outdoor LED lighting, security cameras, and monitoring equipment which are often exposed to the elements.
The connectors are available in many different configurations with 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, and 20 position options, including variants with hybrid power and signal functionality. The LF series supports data rates of up to 10Gbits/s via Cat6A suitable for use in modern internet-of-things (IoT) devices tethered to the cloud.
Easy assembly and shielding termination reduces component and assembly costs meaning engineers waste little time installing the LF series into existing designs. The design is rated for up to 1,000 mating cycles and has an operating temperature range of -25°C to 85°C to complement waterproofing.
