CRE Series 10mm Rotary DIP Switches

Littelfuse

Featuring a compact footprint with multiple electrical contacts

Safety applications for the industrial and instrumentation industries put people’s lives on the line every day so all devices impacting the response time must work flawlessly. To work most effectively, electronic controllers must provide precise feedback interaction between circuits, modules and sensors. In order to achieve this, many designs rely on a coded rotary DIP switch.

C&K CRE series is the newest addition of the coded DIP into the portfolio. It has a compact footprint with multiple electrical contacts, each is selected by rotating the rotary actuator to align it with a number printed on the package.

CRE is available in 4, 6, 8, 10 and 16 switching positions with reliable positive detent action. It has 2 different frontal designs – octagon or round shape which allows the designer to have the aesthetics options to choose from. It has quite an extensive range of actuators (flush, extended or protrusion – with clockwise and anticlockwise rotation) as well as different terminations (thru-hole, right angle and SMT) to select. Last but not least, the compact case of 10 mm x 10 mm x 6.5 mm of the basic version is space saving for a crowded PCB.
