Precision chip resistors handle high power loads up to 1 W

May 15, 2025

Reliable, low-noise HRG series resistors from Susumu maintain stable resistance over a wide temperature range. Thin-film resistor technology developed by Susumu enables the compact HRG products to handle high power loads.

Susumu has introduced the HRG series of high-power chip resistors which offer precise and stable resistance over a wide temperature range and numerous temperature cycles.

The HRG series features conventional short side wrap-around terminals, in contrast to Susumu’s PRG series resistors, which have long side terminals. The proprietary thin-film resistor construction and enlarged bottom terminals mean that the HRG resistors are able to handle high power loads of up to 1 W in a standard EIA 3216 case size, or 1206 in inches.

The Susumu HRG series is notable for its precise electrical characteristics and high reliability. The resistors are available with absolute resistor tolerances of 0.1% or 0.5%. The temperature coefficient of resistance is ±25 ppm/°C or 50 ppm/°C.
