The DF33C series of compact wire-to-board connectors from Hirose Electric provides high reliability when used in internal power supplies in industrial environments.
The connector range consists of crimp sockets and vertical headers in single or double rows. The crimp-socket housing has a two-point spring contact to stabilize the connection. The housing also prevents the contact from oscillating under excessive vibration, which can lead to fretting corrosion. In addition, part of the barrel section of the crimp remains open to further restrict movement and increase resistance to vibration.
The robust lock provides a tactile click when mated. The lock is centered to avoid uneven locking and to allow connectors to be mounted side by side.
Additional contact retainers are available to increase the retention force for applications in which excessive pull forces may be applied to the cable. Keying variations are also available to prevent the wrong mating connector being inserted when multiple connectors are used.
The connectors can accept resin sealing up to 6.5 mm high from the board surface, to protect them from dust and moisture.
