Space-saving NOVASTACK connectors feature stacked height as low as 0.6 mm

The I-PEX NOVASTACK® board-to-board FPC connectors offer a high power capability in a miniature form factor suitable for use in the latest generation of small and sleek consumer products. The NOVASTACK connectors may be used to connect batteries and other power applications.


Products such as wearable devices, mobile phones, and cameras can no longer afford to use connectors larger than 0.5 mm because of the limited PCB real estate available. The NOVASTACK board-to-board connectors meet this requirement while providing power capability of up to 24 A per connector in an area as small as 9 mm2 and just a 0.6 mm stacked height. 


Using the fully shielded connectors offered in the NOVASTACK ZenShield® family, designers can also achieve data rates up to 20 Gbits/s in several of the mated pairs. NOVASTACK connectors are compatible with 5G mmWave and sub-6 GHz RF connections.


For high-speed data and power connections in a single unit, the NOVASTACK 35-HDP connector provides a fully-shielded, high-speed connector with from 28 to 62 signal pins and four power pins capable of carrying 2.2 A each.
