The MIC38C42YN is a BiCMOS, fixed frequency, high performance, current-mode PWM controller, available in through hole 8 pin PDIP package.

This device is pin compatible with 384x bipolar devices but feature several improvements. The undervoltage lockout circuitry allows the MIC38C42YN to start up at 14.5 V and operate down to 9 V.
