MPLAB ICD 28P Header PIC24FJ64GA004-ICE (DIP/SOIC/QFN)
Features & Applications
The Explorer 16 Starter Kit is a complete set of tools for application development using Microchip’s PIC24F, PIC24H, and dsPIC33 16-bit microcontrollers.
The kit includes MPLAB® ICD 2 In Circuit Debugger, Explorer 16 Development Board, 9 V universal power supply that can be used for either the Explorer 16 Development Board or the MPLAB ICD 2 in-circuit debugger, serial cable, and both PIC24FJ128GA010 and dsPIC33F256GP710 devices mounted on plug-in modules for quick replacement.
Devices that have built-in debug circuitry do not require a header to use debug tools. However, some pins and memory are required to support the debug function, and those pins and memory areas cannot be used by the application during debugging.
Special ICE/ICD versions offering additional pins, memory and emulator functions can be used to provide emulating/debugging capabilities that don't use these resources. This is an optional header interface for the MPLAB ICD to free up the 2 debug pins when using the PIC24FJ64GA004 family of devices.
