Rectangular chip resistors & chip resistors networks, which are now indispensables for IT, are manufactured and marketed by ROHM worldwide. ROHM offers various types of chip resistors such as low ohmic, anti-surge, high power, high-voltage and sulfur-resistant types to support various applications ranging from consumer electronics to industrial, automotive uses. ROHM’s resistors are available in both commercial and automotive grade categories.

ROHM’s MCR03 compact thick film chip resistor series has a resistance range from 1 Ohms to 10 Million Ohms, tolerances available in ±1% and ±5%, tolerances and TCRs of ±50, ±100, ±200 and ±400 ppm/K making them perfect for use in various communication devices and portable electronic equipment. Thick film elements provide better reliability compared with that of thin film element. MCR03 resistor series are available with a rated power of 0.10-W

The RoHS-compliant resistor series offers Pb-free solder contacts on a nickel barrier layer with pure tin plating providing compatibility with both lead (Pb)-free and lead-containing soldering processes. The operating temperature range is –55° to 155°C.

  • The transition from a glass overcoat (H suffix) to a resin based overcoat (P suffix) resulted in a more robust part much less prone to cracking. This transition also allows us to be cost competitive while keeping the electrical characteristics the same.

Note: Parts with glass (PbO) overcoats (H suffix) are RoHS compliant due to exemption 5 (Lead in glass of cathode ray tubes, electronic components, and fluorescent tubes).
