Lifecycle status change from production to NRND for the attached RF Components List This is an official notice of the production status change for the product mentioned above and in the following attached list of product(s). This product has been revised to Not Recommended for New Design or "NRND". NRND is a production status classification that indicates a part number is approaching the end of it's product life cycle. It is not End of Life, rather NRND represents the period between mass production and End of Life (EOL).
TDK - PCN Concerning RF ComponentsTDK is changing the stabilizer compound used in the terminal plating solution of several RF components, from a cyanide to a non-cyanide compound. Please refer to the attached official Notice from our Communication Devices Business Group, for details concerning this change. This change is scheduled to go into effect with production on January 1, 2020.
Name of change: Change of carrier tape material Before: Flat type Material = pulp Color = white After: Emboss type Material = plastic Color = black Purpose Currently, pulp has been used as the material of carrier tape for 1005 & 1608 sized products. To avoid issues with stray particles of pulp material, we have decided to change the material of the carrier tape from pulp to embossed plastic. This change will improve taping quality.
