The Explorer 16 Development Board is a low-cost modular development system for Microchips 16-bit microcontrollers. It comes in two versions. DM240001 ships with the 100-pin PIMs and DM240002 ships with the lower pin-count 44-pin PIMs.

The PIC24F16KA102 Plug-in Module (MA240017) comes fitted with a PIC24F16KA102 device in a 28-pin SOIC package. Use it as a plug-in module with the Explorer 16 Board for development of your extreme low-power, touch-sense or general purpose control applications.
