Universal Serial Bus, or USB, is an industry standard developed in 1994 that defines the connectors, cables and communications protocols used in a bus for the connection, communication and power supply between electronic devices and computers. Universal Serial Bus was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals for several applications including digital cameras, printers, keyboards, pointing devices, portable media players, network adapters and disk drives to PCs to communicate and supply electric power. USB has also replaced or is in the process of phasing out several earlier interfaces such as serial ports and parallel ports and separate power chargers for portable devices. The design architecture of a USB is asymmetrical in its topology and consists of a host, several downstream USB ports, and several peripheral devices connected in a tiered-star topology.
There are several different kinds of USBs at Future Electronics. We stock many of the most common types categorized by several parameters including Data rate, number of channels, operating temperature range, packaging type and supply voltage. Our parametric filters will allow you to refine your search results according to the required specifications. The most common sizes for Data Rate are 3 Mbps, 12 Mbps, 30 Mbps and 480 Mbps. Operating temperature range should also be considered, with several ranges from -80 oC to 150 oC.
Future Electronics has a wide range of USBs, including programmable, power switch and wireless wifi usbs as well as micro usbs and mini usbs from several manufacturers. Simply choose from the USB technical attributes below and your search results will quickly be narrowed to match your specific universal serial bus application needs. We deal with several manufacturers such as Cypress, Onsemi, FTDI Chip, Maxlinear, and Microship. You can easily refine your USB product search results by clicking your preferred USB brand from the list of manufacturers below.
Universal Serial Buses are designed to be used for several applications. USBs are used in interfaces and devices including computer speakers, microphones, sound cards, modems, ethernet adapters, wifi adapters, printers, CNC machines, USB flash drives, digital audio players, digital cameras, amongst many other applications.
When you are looking for the right USB, with the FutureElectronics.com parametric search, you can filter the results by various attributes: by Data Rate (1 Mbps, 3 Mbps, 6 Mbps, 8 Mbps, 12 Mbps, 48 Mbps,…), operating temperature range (from as low as -80 oC to as high as 150 oC), number of channels (from 1 to 8 channels), and supply voltage (up to 5.5V) to name a few. You will be able to find the right power switch, programmable and wireless (wifi) usbs and micro and mini usbs using these filters.
If the quantity of USBs required is less than a full reel, we offer customers many of our universal serial bus products in tube, tray or individual quantities that will avoid unneeded surplus.
In addition, Future Electronics offers clients a unique bonded inventory program designed to eliminate potential problems that could arise from an unpredictable supply of products containing raw metals and products with erratic or long lead times.
