What is a Logic Translator?

A logic translator is a semiconductor chip which translates a logic signal from one type to another. An example would be Emitter-Coupled Logic (ECL) to Transistor-Transistor Logic (TTL). The methods of translation vary according to the number of lines that need to be translated, the speed of the digital signals and the range of voltages encountered.

Types of Logic Translators

There are several different kinds of logic translators.
