Montreal, Canada – Future Electronics, a leading global distributor of electronic components, is pleased to announce availability of the onsemi AR0830 Hyperlux™ LP Image Sensor, an 8.3 MP BSI Stacked CMOS sensor that combines high-resolution imaging with exceptionally low power consumption.
Part of onsemi’s cutting-edge Hyperlux™ LP family, the AR0830 sensor features a 1/2.9-inch form factor and a 3840 x 2160 active-pixel array, offering advanced imaging capabilities in both linear and enhanced dynamic range (eDR) modes through its rolling shutter readout. The sensor’s 1.4 μm BSI pixel enhances performance in low-light and near-infrared (NIR) conditions, delivering superior image quality for challenging edge environments.
The AR0830 is engineered with a robust feature set including:
- Industry-leading low power consumption
- Enhanced NIR response at 850nm and 940nm
- Wake on Motion (WOM) functionality for efficient operation
- Multiple subsampling modes including binning, summing, skipping, and windowing
- Functional modes like Global Reset Release (GRR), trigger, and context switching
- Advanced Line Interleaved HDR (LI-HDR) and eDR imaging modes
These capabilities make the AR0830 an ideal sensor for videoconferencing endpoints, video doorbells, AR/VR/XR headsets, machine vision, retail analytics, facial recognition systems, and wearables, among others.
onsemi’s Hyperlux LP family is tailored for applications where imaging quality, low latency, compact form factors, and energy efficiency are paramount. With a stacked architecture and proprietary technologies such as Smart ROI and optimized NIR sensitivity, Hyperlux sensors deliver high-resolution, high-fidelity images even in extreme lighting and environmental conditions.
