The FX29, the latest compression load cell from TE Connectivity (TE), offers an excellent combination of attractive pricing and high performance.
Housed in a robust package which has a diameter of 19.7 mm and which is 4.95 mm high, the FX29 can provide force-measurement outputs as analogue signals in millivolts or amplified, or digital signals via an optional I2C interface.
Key features of the FX29 make it ideal for demanding applications, including a robust two-piece construction and high sensitivity.
The device consists of a piezoresistive MEMS strain gauge enclosed in an injection-molded stainless-steel casing. The proprietary technology used to manufacture the strain gauge increases the durability and stability of the sensor, as it eliminates materials which degrade over time.
The FX29 is available for load ranges from 50 N to 1000 N, and has an unamplified span sensitivity of 20 mV/V.
