Mid-power 3030 LEDs reach high standard of efficacy

Seoul Semiconductor has launched new mid-power LEDs with a 3030 footprint which set a new benchmark for efficacy in normal operating conditions.

The LEDs in the 3030E series for general lighting, and the 3030H series for horticultural lighting, benefit from a new LED design and an optimized internal structure to achieve new high levels of efficacy. The new 3030E LEDs achieve efficacy of up to 239 lm/W. For the 3030H, this figure is 3.12 µmol/J.

The part number of the new, high-efficacy LED series is STW7C12E-xx.

Seoul Semiconductor has also raised the efficacy of its mid-power LEDs in a 2835 package. The STW8A2PD-E2, which has a CCT of 4,000 K, produces flux of 37.5 lm at a drive current of 65 mA. Efficacy is 214 lm/W. The 4,000 K STW8A2PD-E3H10000 LED offers even better efficacy of 219 lm/W. Both feature an 80 CRI color rendering score.

These LEDs are ideal for use in harsh exterior applications, as they have a high level of protection from atmospheric sulfur and withstand thermal shock.
