STMicroelectronics has introduced an Op Amps Starter Kit which provides a convenient way for analogue engineers to evaluate the company’s broad portfolio of high-performance operational amplifiers and comparators. The kit, which is available through Future Electronics with the part number KITOPAMP0920_Future, includes products from the TSU, TSZ, and TSB families of op amps.
For ultra low-power applications, the TSU series of Nanopower op amps provides the best potential to achieve high energy efficiency. The sample kit includes the TSU101, which features a wide supply-voltage range of 1.5V to 5.5V. Offering bandwidth of 8kHz, this op amp operates from a supply current of just 600nA. Input offset voltage is 3mV. The device has a rail-to-rail input and output.
The TSZ series is intended for use in applications which call for very high precision. The sample kit features the TSZ121, which is notable for its input-offset voltage of just 5μV and bandwidth of 400kHz. Running from a supply-voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and a supply current of 28μA, the TSZ121 has a rail-to-rail input and output.
The TSB series provides the greatest versatility for use in industrial and other high-voltage environments. In the sample kit, the TSB712A op amp has a supply-voltage range of 2.7V to 36V, and offers a high gain-bandwidth product of 6MHz. Input-offset voltage is 300μV. Running from a supply current of 1.8mA, the TSB712A provides a rail-to-rail input and output.
