Advanced development board supports rapid design of fully programmable mixed-signal ICs

The SLG4DVKADV GreenPAK™ advanced development board from Dialog Semiconductor, a Renesas company, makes it simple to develop and test the full range of mixed-signal GreenPAK programmable mixed-signal ICs.

 

Working with the GreenPAK designer software, the GreenPAK advanced development board allows designers to program custom samples in minutes, test GreenPAK projects in-circuit, and develop new applications using any GreenPAK device. The board has a gated expansion header for connecting to external test equipment, integrated signal and logic generators, and LEDs for visual indications.

 

The GreenPAK family are cost-effective, nonvolatile memory (NVM) programmable devices which enable designers to integrate numerous system functions into a single custom circuit, minimizing component count, board space and power consumption. Fewer PCB connections also increase reliability. The size of the GreenPAK devices starts from just 1 mm x 1.2 mm.

 

GreenPAK ICs are ideal for replacing combinations of standard mixed-signal products, and for providing reliable hardware safety, supervisory, and reset functions for software-coded devices, such as systems-on-chip and microcontrollers. A typical GreenPAK implementation requires from 10 to 30 components fewer than a design using discrete products.

 

GreenPAK ICs offer feature sets to support dual supply, load switches, asynchronous state machines, low drop-out regulators, high-voltage H-bridge functionality, automotive system functions, and configurable analog circuits.
