Cost-Optimized Microcontrollers with Precision Analog and Motor Control Integration

Affordable entry-level platform combining Arm Cortex-M23 processing, advanced analog, and flexible motor control

NXP MCX C15 and MCX C16 microcontrollers deliver an affordable entry-level platform that combines Arm Cortex-M23 processing, precision analog peripherals, motor control capabilities, and essential security features. Designed for industrial and IoT applications, these MCUs operate at up to 72 MHz and include up to 64 KB of embedded Flash, providing a scalable foundation for sensing, control, and automation systems.

As embedded designs become more feature-rich, developers often face the challenge of balancing performance, analog accuracy, and system cost. The MCX C15 and MCX C16 address this by integrating a high-resolution 16-bit ADC, programmable analog functions, FlexPWM motor control, and hardware security features into a compact, cost-effective platform. The result is reduced external component count, lower BOM costs, and simplified system design.

The MCX C15 and MCX C16 also provide an easy migration path from 8-bit, 16-bit, Cortex-M0+, LPC, and legacy Kinetis devices while maintaining software compatibility across the broader MCX portfolio. This enables long-term scalability as application requirements evolve.
