Multi-modal control for next-generation interfaces
Optical force sensing transforms nearly any surface into an intelligent interaction zone. With proximity, touch, and pressure detection in a single interface, designers can create sleek ShyTech-style surfaces that illuminate only when needed and respond even through wet, gloved, or thick materials.
This technology enables intuitive, hygienic, and space-saving controls for automotive, industrial, and consumer systems.
The AS7150 is a compact, ultra-low-power analog frontend designed for high-precision optical force and touch sensing. With sub-micrometer displacement resolution and ultra-low noise performance, it forms the core of discrete optical force sensing solutions.
The SFH 7061 is an ultra-slim Optical Frontend (OFE) designed for optical force and proximity sensing, integrating a 940 nm infrared (IR) LED emitter, a 940 nm-sensitive photodiode, and an integrated optical barrier that blocks optical crosstalk. Housed in a compact 1.8 × 1.0 × 0.5 mm package, it delivers high-performance sensing in space-constrained applications.

About ams OSRAM
AS7150-SFH 7061_EVM_KT
The AS7150 & SFH 7061 EvalKit is designed to evaluate force touch and proximity use cases. The board is constructed in a way that different touch surfaces can be inserted and evaluated. It provides flexibility to test different material types, thicknesses and reflectivities. Further, the distance between sensor board and touch surface can be varied.
