Amphenol Communications Solutions — IEC 63171-6-Compliant Ethernet Connectors

Amphenol Communications Solutions supplies a range of single-pair Ethernet (SPE) connectors for industrial applications, for connecting peripheral devices such as sensors, actuators, and cameras at data-transfer rates up to 1 Gbit/s.

SPE cabling is simpler and cheaper to install and maintain than cabling for slow and complex fieldbus protocols. The comprehensive Amphenol portfolio enables the use of SPE in new and existing industrial networks. It includes robust right-angle and vertical board-mount SPE jacks. These mate to SPE plugs which can be terminated in the field, providing a complete latching, shielded interface.

Handling currents up to 4 A, the SPE connectors support Ethernet power-over-data-link (PoDL) capability over cable lengths up to 1 km. Data rates up to 1 Gbit/s are possible over cable lengths of 40 m, and 10 Mbits/s up to 1 km.

Board-mount jack shields have robust integrated solder tails with board locks, making them suitable for pin-in-paste assembly, and preventing damage caused by mechanical stress.
