Panasonic Industry has launched a versatile new power relay, the HE-A, which provides highly reliable performance in solar inverters and other heavy-duty energy-management applications.
Part of the Panasonic HE family of high-power, PCB-mount relays, the compact HE-A power relay measures just 33 mm x 38 mm x 38.8 mm, and features a 3.6 mm contact gap between the normally open contacts. The power relay is rated for a maximum switching current of 90 A, and a maximum carrying current of 110 A. Electrical life of 1,000 operations is guaranteed at 90 A and 277 V ac, and the relay can withstand a short-circuit current of up to 5,000 Arms.
The relay offers a welding detection function with a mirror contact mechanism which complies with the EN 60947-4-1 standard.
