Diodes Incorporated PI7C9X3G606GP 6-Port PCIe 3.0 Packet Switch

Featuring design flexibility and power savings

The PI7C9X3G606GP is the second PCIe® 3.0 packet switch from Diodes Incorporated and supports six lanes of PCIe 3.0 SERDES communication in flexible three-, five- and six-port configurations. The device joins the 8-lane PI7C9X3G808GP in the Diodes Incorporated portfolio of PCIe packet switches.

 

The PI7C9X3G606GP architecture allows a flexible port configuration by allocating variable lane widths for each port. The switch can be configured to provide different port types such as upstream or downstream ports, and cross-domain end-point ports.

 

Inside the packet switch, multiple DMA channels facilitate data communication more efficiently between host(s) and end points.

 

The PI7C9X3G606GP also offers extra benefits beyond basic switch functionality. The switch maintains high signal integrity in stress channels, implements an advanced power management scheme, and provides for enhanced reliability, availability and serviceability. There is support for unexpected hot-plug events with LED enclosure management.
