Industrial RJ45 jacks with integrated magnetics for superior EMI shielding and reduced BOM

TE Connectivity offers several industrial-grade options for RJ45 jacks supporting voltage- or current-mode Ethernet at up to 1 Gbps, with integrated magnetics to reduce customer design efforts and improve EMI performance.

TE Connectivity offers several industrial-grade options for RJ45 jacks supporting voltage- or current-mode Ethernet at up to 1 Gbps, with integrated magnetics to reduce customer design efforts and improve EMI performance.

The industrial RJ45 jacks from TE Connectivity are available in several configurations for single-port vertical mounting and single- or dual-port right-angle mounting. Additional options feature green and yellow LED status indicators to suit industry-standard designs, and dual-port options cover both vertical and side-by-side orientations. Each configuration is matched for operation with 10/100 base-T megabit Ethernet or 1 Gigabit Ethernet PHY chips.

The highly integrated nature of these RJ45 jacks reduces the analogue design requirements and bill of materials (BOM) in a design by eliminating the additional magnetic components required when integrating standard RJ45 ports. This leads to reduced EMI and higher communication integrity.

Suitable for a wide range of applications, these RJ45 jacks feature a thicker gold-over-nickel plating than standard connectors for improved corrosion resistance over the lifetime of the product. The high-grade liquid crystal polymer (LCP) housing also supports an extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, enabling new installation areas for RJ45-connected industrial equipment.
