Pulse Electronics Common-Mode Chokes

Versatile common-mode chokes reduce EMI in noisy industrial environments

Pulse Electronics has introduced five new series of high-current common-mode chokes for attenuating EMI in noisy industrial applications. The surface-mount PA5140, PA5141, PAC6006, PH9407, and PH9408 series complement the company’s line of versatile toroid choke products.

The new common-mode chokes benefit from the Pulse Electronics fully automated round-wire coil-winding technology, which provides high reliability, minimal variation between components, and competitive costs.

Because Pulse Electronics offers multiple impedance/current options in each series, designers are able to implement a footprint in their layout and then adjust the specific component value if needed during EMI testing. A highly versatile solution, the Pulse Electronics family of chokes attenuates noise across a broad range of common-mode signals at frequencies from 80 kHz to 17 MHz.
