5 A voltage regulators provide robust performance in 24 V and 48 V power systems

The new BD9G500EFJ-LA and BD9F500QUZ from ROHM Semiconductor are non-isolated dc-dc converter ICs which use proprietary technology based on high-voltage BiCDMOS power processes to provide the power supply functionality required by increasingly sophisticated industrial equipment.

 

The BD9G500EFJ-LA regulator with integrated MOSFET combines an 80 V withstand voltage rating, making it suitable for use in with 48 V power supplies, with the largest output current in its class of 5 A. These robust electrical characteristics make the BD9G500EFJ-LA a highly reliable choice for use in settings which handle high-power outputs, such as battery charging stations and 5G base stations.

 

The ROHM portfolio of 5 A voltage regulators also includes the 39 V BD9F500QUZ, a Nano Pulse Control™ device which offers fast transient response. The product is housed in a compact 16-pin MMP package measuring 3.0 mm × 3.0 mm × 0.4 mm.

 

The BD9G500EFJ-LA and BD9F500QUZ enable designers of 24 V and 48 V power systems to implement more functionality and to save space in advanced industrial equipment. The products are also suitable for battery-powered applications operating at up to 48 V.
