Vishay 159 PUL-SI Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

High-voltage aluminum caps offer long useful life at high operating temperatures

Vishay 159 PUL-SI Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors are part of a family of high-voltage snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors which offer a long useful life of 5,000 hours at 105°C.

The 159 PUL-SI series’ robust operation and high temperature tolerance make them ideal for use in industrial motor-control systems, as well as in solar PV inverters and power supplies. They may be used to implement smoothing, filtering, and energy-storage functions in pulsed-power applications.

Featuring a cylindrical aluminum case with a pressure relief valve, insulated with a blue sleeve, the 159 PUL-SI capacitors are available in a variety of case sizes ranging from 22mm x 25mm to 35mm x 60mm. Offering rated voltages from 200V to 500V, the devices feature ripple-current capability as high as 2.8A, and maximum equivalent series resistance of as little as 150mΩ at 100Hz.

These snap-in capacitors are available in polarized and keyed-polarity versions.
