FTM / Security & Encryption / Monolithic Power Systems — MP2322 Step-Down Converter
The MP2322 is a synchronous step-down converter from Monolithic Power Systems which provides up to 1 A of continuous output current at high efficiency across an input-voltage range of 3 V to 22 V.
To increase efficiency when supplying light loads, the converter automatically reduces the switching frequency. The device reverts to PWM mode once the output current exceeds the critical level. Constant-on-time control ensures that the MP2322 responds fast to load transients.
The MP2322 is a space-saving option for designers. Housed in a compact QFN-8 package measuring 1.5 mm x 2 mm, the MP2322 includes integrated power MOSFETs, and requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components.
The converter also provides a full suite of protection features, including over-current protection, over-voltage protection, and thermal shutdown.
