HD-20 Full Metal-Shell Straight Posted Series represents one of 3 versions of straight posted connectors available, the other two being front metal-shell or all-plastic. Presently offered in 9, 15, 25, 37 and 50 positions with shell sizes ranging from 1 through 5, the HD-20 Full Metal-Shell connector line also features flame retardant thermoplastic housing material as well as the option to have grounding indents or clinch nuts or mounting holes. The HD-20 series of connectors are preloaded with size 20 DF posted contacts, which are based on .040 inches [1.02 cm] pin diameters with contact centerlines of .109 x .112 inches [2.77 x 2.85 cm]. This size is the most common variety.

5745183-1 is an Amplimite HD-20 Series Board Mount Receptacle with 9 (female contact) positions housed in a size 1 full metal tin plated shell body with mounting holes.
