General Description of ChangesThe Industrial and Commercial Transportation business unit of TE Connectivity is adding new capacity tooling for the short cap and making a change to the gate location by moving it to the top for the part number(s) listed below. This will be an alternate geometry only for North America, other regions will keep the current design. For modifications with an E-seal , the letter E will be moved to an adjacent area within the same face. The change does not impact performance. These PNs are TE proprietary designs, therefore considered catalog/general market product. PPAP and/or sample requests must be submitted within 14 days of PCN submission via ict-ppap-request@te.com or ePPAP system. Submission will not occur without request. If PPAP requested, disposition response is required within 14 days of submit date or it will be considered approved. Product drawing(s) are affected.Reason for Changes:Dear Customer, we hereby inform you of this change. The change is necessary to improve our molding process to be able to reduce our carbon footprint as part of our environmental initiatives. The change does not impact performance. Product Description: DEUTSCH DT series Plug and Receptacle short cap and long cap change to black General Description of ChangesAs part of our ongoing efforts to reduce carbon footprint, the Industrial and Commercial Transportation business unit of TE Connectivity is standardizing the weld cap color of the Deutsch DT connectors to black (affected part numbers listed below). The standardized black weld caps will seamlessly integrate with the developing design features when new DT colors are added to our connector portfolio. This ensures a cohesive product with consistent aesthetics across the product line. These PNs are TE proprietary designs and, therefore, considered catalog/general market products. Level 4 PPAP requests must be submitted within 14 days of PCN submission via ict-ppap-request@te.com or ePPAP system. Submission will only occur with a request. Because all of the components are currently used in production, no samples are planned to be supplied because the change is entirely cosmetic, as a result, level 4 PPAP (PSW only) will be provided when requested, and disposition response is required within 14 days of the submit date or it will be considered approved. Product drawing(s) are affected.Reason for Changes:Dear Customer, we hereby inform you of this change. As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we are standardizing the color of the weld caps to black across our entire DT connector portfolio.
