The SiC471 is part of the SiC47x family and is a 12A synchronous buck regulator with integrated high-side and low-side power MOSFETs capable of 4.5V to 55V voltage input for a broad range of applications. The regulator features an adjustable power stage capable of supplying high continuous current at up to 2MHz switching frequency.
Full protection features are integrated into the SiC471, including over-current protection (OCP), output over-voltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP), output under-voltage protection (UVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP). The regulator has tight ripple regulation and low output capacitance, supporting a range of output capacitors such as low equivalent series resistance (ESR) ceramic capacitors.
The SiC471 regulator is housed in a 5mm x 5mm lead-free MLP55-27L package, and engineers can make use of Vishay PowerCAD online design simulation to get a head start on their designs incorporating the regulator.
