FTM / Industrial Robotics & Industry 5.0 / STMicroelectronics — IIS2DULPX Accelerometer
The IIS2DULPX, a three-axis linear MEMS accelerometer from STMicroelectronics, provides a range of intelligent features and data processing capabilities which enable designers to integrate multiple functions and streamline the bill-of-materials.
These features include:
The finite state machine and MLC produce impressive, always-on processing capabilities which operate at the edge.
The sensor has selectable full scales of ±2 g/±4 g/±8 g/±16 g, and measures acceleration in three axes at output data rates from 1.6 Hz to 800 Hz.
The IIS2DULPX has a dedicated internal engine which implements motion and acceleration detection functions, including free-fall detection, wake-up, single-, double-, triple-tap recognition, activity/inactivity detection, and 6D/4D orientation.
Part Number: STEVAL-MKI246KA
The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-MKI246KA adapter board enables fast system prototyping and evaluation of the IIS2DLPX, a three-axis linear MEMS accelerometer. The board is connected to a STEVAL-MKIGIBV5 adapter board to render it compatible with the STEVAL-MKI109D microcontroller evaluation platform.
The STEVAL-MKIGIBV5 can be plugged into a standard DIL-24 socket. The kit provides the complete IIS2DULPX pinout and comes ready to use with the required decoupling capacitors on the power supply line.
The STEVAL-MKI109D evaluation platform includes a high-performance 32-bit MCU functioning as a bridge between the sensor and a PC, on which it is possible to use the downloadable MEMS Studio graphical user interface, or dedicated software routines for customized applications.
It is also possible to plug the kit into an X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 or STEVAL-STWINBX1 board using an ad hoc connector mounted on the STEVAL-MKI246A board.
