MEAN WELL supplies the PWM-xx IoT family of Bluetooth®-ready LED drivers for wireless control of dimming. The unit can be specified with a choice of built-in radio modules, to support either the Casambi, Tuya, or Silvair control protocols operating over a Bluetooth mesh network. Mesh networking enables the connection of multiple luminaires over a wide area.
The drivers are available with a power rating of 60 W, 120 W, or 200 W. Operating from a universal mains input-voltage range, these MEAN WELL products provide a constant-voltage output of 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V. The PWM-controlled output at a frequency of up to 4 kHz is compliant with the IEEE 1789-2015 standard for flicker-safe dimming.
Operating at high conversion efficiency up to 90%, the PWM-xx IoT drivers feature a fanless design and are cooled by free air convection. The absence of a fan contributes to the driver’s excellent reliability: typical lifetime is longer than 50,000 hours, and the driver is supplied with a five-year warranty.
The fully encapsulated design provides IP67 ingress protection for use in wet or dry environments. The driver is a Class II unit, and can be used in Class 1 Division 2 hazardous settings.
MEAN WELL also supplies the LCM-xx-IoT series of constant-current LED drivers, which also have a built-in Bluetooth wireless module.
