Ferrite power inductors provide good thermal performance in automotive applications

The LAXH series from TAIYO YUDEN are wire-wound ferrite inductors which can withstand the vibration and extreme temperature swings experienced in automotive systems such as the powertrain and safety equipment.

TAIYO YUDEN LAXH series ferrite power inductors are intended for use in automotive powertrain and safety applications, and in dc-dc converters. Supplied in packages with a 5.0 mm x 5.0 mm or 6.0 mm x 6.0 mm footprint and a profile as low as 3.0 mm, the LAXH inductors feature a sleeveless structure with large electrode areas, which provide for good heat dissipation. Excellent coplanarity prevents false detection in the mounting process.

 

These TAIYO YUDEN products are available in inductance values ranging from 1.0 µH to 470 µH, with tolerance of inductance of either ±20% or ±30%.
