New power-dense dc-dc converters in 1” x 1” package supply up to 30 W

The RECx0K converters from RECOM provide a regulated single- or dual-voltage output. These application-ready modules are supplied with certificates and standards compliance for easy design integration.

The latest K series of pinned dc-dc converter modules pack more power into a smaller package than earlier generations. Featuring power ratings of up to 30 W and wide input-voltage ranges, the RECx0K converters are supplied in a 1” x 1” package which is just 0.4” high, and measuring 25.4 mm x 25.4 mm x 10.2 mm.

 

Available with a 10 W, 20 W, or 30 W output power rating, the REC10K, REC20K, and REC30K converters have an input-voltage range of either 9 to 36 V or 18 to 75 V dc. RECOM plans to introduce a 60 W option in 2025. The choice of tightly regulated output voltages is 3.3 V, 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V, 24 V, ±5 V, ±12 V, and ±15V. A ±24 V option is available with the REC10K.

 

In addition, the REC30K has an option for a 36 to 75 V dc input-voltage range, which provides for higher efficiency.

 

Isolation is rated at up to 2 kV, specified in accordance with the IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 standard. The use of external filters enables compliance with EMC regulations Class A and B for conducted noise.
