FTM / Motion/Motor Control / Susumu — URG Series Low Resistance Chip Resistors
The URG series from Susumu is a family of precision thin film chip resistors for sensing circuits in which resistor drift can directly affect measurement accuracy, calibration stability, and long-term reliability. Designed for demanding signal-conditioning and reference functions, the URG series is suited to industrial instrumentation, laboratory-grade scales and balances, medical electronics, automotive and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) sensors, and smart sensing nodes.
A key strength of the URG series is the combination of very tight electrical control and high environmental robustness. Susumu specifies absolute tolerance down to ±0.01% and a temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of ±2ppm/°C, while anti-sulfur performance and low noise characteristics help designers maintain signal integrity across the full operating temperature range of -75°C to 175°C.
For intelligent sensing designs, this matters because analogue front ends, bridge circuits, current sensing stages, and precision gain networks all depend on resistor consistency over time, temperature, humidity, and soldering stress. The URG series maintains controlled drift under biased life, temperature shock, high-temperature exposure, humidity bias, and soldering heat conditions, supporting use in products that need predictable long-term behavior.
